PLC Engineer

What will you do?
As an experienced PLC Engineer, you play a key role in the development of control systems for renewable energy projects. You design, program and test PLC software for wind turbines, solar energy systems and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Using your expertise, you ensure these installations operate safely, efficiently and reliably, both as standalone assets and as part of integrated energy systems.
You work closely with specialists in electrical engineering, automation and energy management, making a direct contribution to the energy transition.
Who are you?
- You have approximately 5 years of experience as a PLC Engineer or Automation Engineer;
- You are proficient in Codesys and have experience with WAGO control systems;
- You have experience with, or knowledge of, industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and OPC UA;
- You can translate functional requirements into clear and practical functional designs;
- You are capable of designing, developing and analysing complex control logic;
- You have strong analytical skills and quickly recognise cause-and-effect relationships within systems;
- You work in a structured manner, document your work carefully and maintain high quality standards;
- You communicate effectively and can clearly explain your ideas to colleagues and customers;
- You enjoy working independently while also collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams;
- You feel at home in an environment where wind, solar and battery storage technologies come together.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of server and edge computing platforms, industrial servers or embedded controllers;
- The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
