The Enius Risk Zone Calculator helps you understand and visualise the potential impact of ice throw around your turbines. By calculating the possible reach of ice fragments under varying conditions, the tool creates clear risk zones that are displayed directly on a map.
This provides the insight needed to make informed decisions, support permitting processes, develop safety measures and communicate clearly with local communities and stakeholders.

Windpark Oostpolder
Waddenwind B.V. is the owner of Windpark Oostpolder, a large wind farm located just south of Eemshaven. The wind farm consists of 21 turbines, of which 12 are owned by Waddenwind. Enius has provided, and continues to provide, a range of services to Waddenwind.
Windpark Zeewolde
Windpark Zeewolde, consisting of 91 wind turbines, is a unique community-led initiative involving more than 200 farmers, residents and turbine owners in the rural area surrounding Zeewolde. Together, they form the largest farmer- and citizen-owned wind cooperative in Europe. To help keep the area safe from ice throw, they selected the Topwind IPS system from Enius.
Windplan Groen
ADLS stands for Aircraft Detection Lighting System. It is a detection technology that allows aviation warning lights on wind turbines to be activated only when aircraft are approaching the area. Windplan Groen selected this Enius solution to reduce the visual impact of turbine lighting while maintaining full aviation safety. Today, Enius provides this service for around ten wind farms across the Netherlands.
IPS + Ruud.ai
Ruud.ai brings artificial intelligence to the Ice Prevention System. By continuously analysing weather forecasts, sensor data and historical operating patterns, it helps automate shutdown decisions during winter conditions. Every minute, the model processes more than 100 decision points. It works consistently, avoids human variability and automatically escalates uncertain situations to an operator.
