Active market control on the day-ahead market
Our self-developed EMS knows the sold position on the day-ahead market every fifteen minutes, where supply and demand determine EPEX prices. Deviations between the contracted position and actual production or consumption are immediately corrected using the battery. This means we are not affected by control state 2 (dual pricing), resulting in optimal returns.
Smart combination of the day-ahead and imbalance markets
Accurate forecasting ensures that the right volumes are traded on the day-ahead market. When attractive, these volumes can be adjusted based on imbalance prices. This allows a business to benefit from both markets without incurring imbalance penalties. This risk is managed by Enius through the EMS and the connected assets.
Rapid response to market conditions, costs and regulations
Thanks to our own EMS and active data integration, we can respond quickly to market developments. When optimising returns, we look not only at energy prices, but also at grid costs and energy taxes. Depending on subsidy schemes, a battery is installed either in front of or behind the meter, and each position requires a specific control strategy.
The focus is therefore not solely on energy revenues, but on the combination of revenues and structural savings on taxes and grid charges.
